(Bellingham, WA) March 2, 2016 – Industrial Credit Union is proud to support Meridian High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) F.A.R.M. for Kids Program this year. They presented the donation during the National FFA Week celebration at Meridian High School.

The F.A.R.M. for Kids Program is designed to give kids a better understanding of the agriculture industry through education by FFA members. This year, the FFA partnered with five classes of 1st graders at Irene Reither Elementary to present several hands-on lessons exploring agriculture industry responsibilities, resources and products.

“[The first graders] loved the experiential learning,” said Trent VanDyken, First Grade Teacher and FFA Advisor. “It was really fun to see them so excited because agriculture isn’t usually taught to our younger kids.”
