Industrial Credit Union stands against hatred, oppression, racism, and prejudice.
When our neighbors are threatened, met with violence, dehumanized, and denied opportunities because of the color of their skin, it is not a political issue, but an issue of morality and humanity.
Now is a time to embrace change: to listen to and support the voices of black, indigenous, and people of color. It’s a time for allies and organizations to examine blind spots; to open hearts to difficult conversations and growth. It’s a time for communities, friends and neighbors to come together in empathy, strength and compassion.
Credit unions are a direct result of grassroots organization and collaboration. We know firsthand the good that can result from communities and coworkers willing work together in pursuit of equity and opportunity.
We know that our actions must match our beliefs. Our team is taking time to understand the issues and evaluate how best to support opportunities for black, indigenous, and people of color.
Please stand with us in support of justice, equality, compassion and change long overdue.
As part of this commitment, Industrial will close at 2 pm on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.
