Food Truck Round Up Achieves Record-Breaking Donation

(Bellingham, WA) September 29, 2016 – Industrial Credit Union’s 4th Annual Food Truck Round Up hit record-breaking totals last weekend – with a total donation exceeding $55,000.

The Food Truck Round Up – a benefit for Whatcom County food banks – was presented by Ben Kinney & Keller Williams Realty. Over 3,000 guests attended the event which featured 26 local food trucks, a beer garden, a family area and live music. Between guest entry fees, food truck donations and other event revenue, the Food Truck Round Up proceeds totaled $27,853 – over $9,000 more than the previous year.

For the 3rd year in a row, Ben Kinney and Keller Williams Realty generously offered to match event proceeds, bringing the donation total to $55,166.

The Food Truck Round Up is possible each year because of the generosity of many local businesses. Industrial CU receives support from Ben Kinney and Keller Williams Realty, Haggen Food & Pharmacy, Lithtex NW Printing Solutions, Kulshan Brewing Co., Nature’s Path Foods, Ideation Design Group, Star Rentals, Rice Insurance and many others.

Industrial Credit Union will continue to accept donations for the 22nd Annual Feed the Need Community Food Drive coming October 17-21.Donations will be collected at Industrial CU branches, Whatcom County Haggen Food & Pharmacy stores and both Community Food Co-op locations.
