Please be on the lookout for scammers offering Coronavirus related relief. Remember, the government will not ask for you to pay upfront or for sensitive information (account, credit card or social security numbers) as part of a relief offer.
From offers of debt relief and mortgage refinancing, to offers of COVID-19 test kits or pay-to-access cures, scammers are coming up with all sorts of new ways to part people from their money. Now more than ever it is important to be cautious about your sensitive personal information or requests for money.
If you spot or receive information that you believe may be part of a COVID/Coronavirus related scam, please contact our Call Center at (360) 734-2043 or reach out to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).Federal Trade Commission
