Please be on the lookout for scams involving ‘Shipping & Handling’ fees related to raffle or prize winnings. Members have reported receiving notification that they’ve won a sweepstakes or lottery they’ve never entered. The scammers then request that they pay shipping and handling to receive their prize, but rather than receiving said prize, the victims end up with multiple fraudulent charges to their accounts.

Do not pay to get a prize and never give out your financial or personal information. Real prizes are free. Anyone who asks you to pay a fee for “taxes,” “shipping and handling charges,” or “processing fees” to get your prize, is a scammer.
